Thank you everyone for a very nice stay for one night. The restaurant here was very nice with a view of the waterfront, we both ordered fresh dishes. The bed was good sized & the bathroom was spotlessly clean...

Spent 3 nights in a double room with a river view and a balcony. Room on the 4th floor (457) liked. Small, not small. Well located: away from the elevator and staff room was quiet. balcony of the loggia with excellent view is small but private: we saw everything and nobody, again in the rain we could sit quietly on the balcony with a glass of wine. There's a coffee capsule machine in the room and not only coffee capsules, also tea. There are glasses for wine. There are no Russian channels, WiFi is good, you can watch TV programs online. There are two entrances to the hotel. From Furengasse Street you get to the reception, from there you get an elevator and stairs. from the river side there's a restaurant entrance, from where you can take the elevator to the hotel. elevator is good, all in mirrors, outside door has to be opened manually. In advance, money on the card is not blocked, payment on departure.
- Coffee machine in a cabinet without sockets to turn on had to be carried to the table every time. - The hair dryer under the sink is the first time we've seen this. It wasn't used, but I don't think it's convenient. - Breakfast is modest, it's not all good. Only boiled eggs are hot, but they are really hot, not from the fridge.

A magic hotel. Terrific location. Instant and friendly check-in. Pleased a huge bed with four pillows, two weightless blankets and a beautiful mattress. The February air was pure, sneaking to me through an open window. It was warm in my room. There was a fridge, capsule tea and coffee. The bathroom is spacious, the shower area is also comfortable, liquid detergent for washing "everything" of good quality (is in the volume wall container). Breakfast is simple enough, but pleasant. They serve very tasty cheese, a certain / usual / no exquisite range of meat and sausage products, yogurts, seeds, muesli, boiled eggs, juices. They bring decent coffee, there is a delicious natural yogurt mass with pomegranate and some fruits - very pleasant to the taste. Good service. All within walking distance. Closeness of the station is delightful. Stopped for four nights, managed to catch up with Bern and Zurich. Both are only an hour away. I don't want to go back to Bern, it's clear and looks like a lot of things I've seen before, but Zurich was really happy. Meanwhile, Lucerne is just a soulful paradise. It's been a long time since I've had such an amazing experience, even though I've been wandering around Europe a lot. I really want to go back. If I do, I'll try to stay in this hotel. I'm grateful to the staff of the hotel for the happy opportunity to stay there in comfort.

Great view from balcony of the surrounding mountains and Old Chapel Bridge. Good breakfast to start the day. Location is very accessible to Old town with shopping and restaurants and very short walk to the train station. Enjoyed going to the local craft market on Saturday morning and the food market along the river to pickup fruit, cheese, and veggies for lunch on the run or training up into the mountains. Highly recommend trip to Jungfraujoch to see the Alpine meadows and view of the Alpes.
Restaurant food was fair. Other restaurants nearby offered better selection.

The view from our room was excellent. The hotel is at the best location: near the train station and in front of the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbruecke).

Hotel des Alpes is centrally located right next to the Kapellbruecke. I loved eating breakfast on the balcony overlooking the bridge and the lake. My single room was good value for money (for Switzerland!) Staff were friendly and efficient.
